Caldbeck, Lake District

Located in the quaint village of Caldbeck, deep within the Lake District National Park, the cottage is an ideal setting for a romantic break for two people or for a small family or friends to share.

The cottage is ideally situated in the village with lovely walks straight from the door. The river is just across the road and the duck pond is only a short walk away where you can feed the always appreciative wild fowl or just sit and watch them going about there busy life on the water.

There are lots of interesting walks in Caldbeck including the riverside walk to the Howk gorge past the old Bobbin Mill, and High Pike is within walking distance for those of you who enjoy a walk in the fells. It is only a short drive to the Northern Lake District Fells including Carrock Fell and Blencathra.

Caldbeck has a shop with groceries, the local craft centre at Priest Mill is just along the river where there is also The Watermill café.

The Oddfellows Inn is a few hundred yards away ideal for a afternoon pint and lunch or an evening meal with a glass of wine.

St Kentigern's Church is famous for being the resting place of renowned huntsman John Peel.
